Gamebryo Tools – Empowering Innovative Game Development
Gamebryo ships with a powerful art pipeline that enables your artists to develop and design content right out of the box.
Full-Featured 3ds Max and Maya Exporters
Our feature-rich 3ds Max® and Maya® exporters allow artists to model, texture, animate and preview their content running in the game engine. Gamebryo’s plug-ins allow you to export models and animations from the art packages, and also support the export of user-defined data to fit your custom pipelines. Gamebryo automatically handles nearly every animated value that can be specified in 3ds max and Maya upon export. Exported assets are optimized and conditioned by our modular processing tools to perform well on your target platforms – and meet your memory usage and other performance goals.
Animation Tool: Mix, Match and Create
Creating smoothly animated characters is a breeze with the Gamebryo Animation Tool. Using our intuitive user interface, animators can:
- View and edit multi-channel blended animation sets
- Blend between an arbitrary number of animation sequences and preview the results
- Mix and match multiple sequences to create novel combinations with no additional art
Asset Viewer for Quick Previews
Artists can examine their exported assets on the PC with Asset Viewer, and also preview content on consoles using Gamebryo’s on-target viewers.
Asset Viewer provides performance statistics about models and scenes, including frame rate, polygon counts and overdraw indication.
Scene Designer to Build Levels
Level designers and artists can assemble complex game environments from reusable pieces using Gamebryo’s Scene Designer tool. Its plug-in driven architecture means it is easily customizable to fit your studio’s needs. With our Scene Designer, you can:
- Dynamically plan, rearrange and tweak your scene
- Re-use multiple modular art assets and place them in the scene in unique ways
- Optimize your art pipeline by minimizing the amount of content exports required by offloading much of the design into Scene Designer
- Develop plug-ins using the Scene Designer API to handle your custom game data or present additional options to end users
