Emergent to Resell Partner Products in Premier Level of Program
CALABASAS, Calif. - Emergent Game Technologies is putting even more power, choice and creative control in developers' hands through a new partner program that integrates industry-leading middleware technology into the Emergent development framework.
The program, consisting of Emergent Premier Partners and Emergent Certified Partners, will create the broadest range of game production solutions and design tools available from one source.
Participating partners will co-develop with Emergent's partner engineering team an enterprise quality integration of products, including samples, demos, and documentation. As with all of Emergent's offerings, its partners' products will be certified as having been rigorously tested in a game development environment. As an added benefit, Emergent Premier Partners will receive co-marketing and joint sales support by Emergent, who will serve as a value-added reseller for its Premier Partners' products.
For game developers, the program creates a game production framework offering unrivaled flexibility and scalability with the leading middleware products all working together out-of-the-box. A higher degree of technology interoperability allows developers to choose the products that best meet their needs and easily add new tools over time as they become available on the Gamebryo framework.
The first company to join the Emergent Premier Partners program is Audiokinetic®. AGEIA is the first to join the Emergent Certified Partners program.
"The partner program is a significant part of our larger mission to integrate partners, community, developers and other technologies into a singular ecosystem," said Geoffrey Selzer, CEO of Emergent. "It is our framework approach that allows us to empower developers by facilitating the maximum flexibility and creativity in a scalable development environment."
New Partner Program
Emergent's new partner program consists of the following two levels:
* Emergent Premier Partners (EPP): EPP builds on the ECP by making partner products available for purchase directly from Emergent. EPP helps developers by streamlining the evaluation, purchase and support process and delivering best of breed technology to optimize a studio's creative talents.
* Emergent Certified Partners (ECP): The ECP program features products from middleware companies who provide technology that is complementary to Gamebryo. Emergent will work with partner companies to co-develop a tight integration that will work out-of-the-box with Gamebryo. ECP ensures that a partner's code and documentation meet Emergent's strict quality standards. ECP also requires that sample code is provided to show developers how to use Gamebryo with the partner product.
New to Emergent Premier Partners
* Audiokinetic's Wwise®: Wwise (WaveWorks Interactive Sound Engine®) offers the industry's first fully-integrated Audio Pipeline Solution for game developers and publishers. Wwise features a complete authoring application with a powerful sound engine that increases productivity and simplifies the development process. In addition to selling Wwise to Gamebryo customers, Emergent has become a reseller of Wwise.
New to Emergent Certified Partners
* AGEIA's PhysX: PhysX is the world's first dedicated physics engine and physics processor to bridge the gap between static virtual worlds and responsive, unscripted physical reality. AGEIA is dedicated to delivering the most advanced physics technology which offers the scale, sophistication, fidelity and interactivity to dramatically enhance the entertainment experience.
