Less risk: As a publisher, you can be certain that the demos you receive via the program will be long enough, and playable enough, to give you a good sense of the developer’s talents and creativity. If you like what you see, you can then meet with the developer in person to determine whether they are the right fit for your organization.
All developers are pre-screened: All of the developers who are part of the Exchange Program have been pre-screened by Emergent, and have proven themselves capable of developing a game. What’s more, all developers have worked with Emergent’s Gamebryo technology to develop their demo, so you can be certain that they have the right tools to develop AAA titles.
Less administrative headaches: Since Emergent takes the pre-screening process out of the equation, and lines up the meetings, publishers can focus more resources and more attention on determining whether the concept is right for them.
