EMERGENT WORKSHOP TO HELP PROFESSORS TEACH NEXT GENERATION OF GAME DESIGNERS

April 16, 2008

NEWS ALERT *** NEWS ALERT *** NEWS ALERT

Chapel Hill, N.C. (April 16, 2008) – As trends and technologies for the projected $46.5 billion global video game industry* continuously evolve, professors work hard to ensure their students receive real life, hands on experience with the best tools available.

Professors teaching game design across the United States and in England are headed to the Emergent Academic Workshop this June.  The three-day session is for professors currently using, or thinking about using, the Gamebryo game development platform for classes and academic projects.

Experts will offer training on Gamebryo art tools and programming, and will roll out the first chapters of the Gamebryo game tutorial.  Professors will return to their schools with a better understanding of Gamebryo and how they can best use the technology to build projects across next-generation platforms.

Gamebryo is the platform used by interactive entertainment leaders such as Disney Interactive Studios, EA Mythic, NCsoft, Firaxis Games and Sony Online Entertainment.
